I did this exact thing. I have an 80 lb doberman that I wanted crated in the back seats. Need fold flat floor of some sort to start, but the crate for my dog was just an inch or two too big, even tried soft crates that are a little more flexible. No luck for me. Sales guys were laughing at me testing it on the lot. still bought the truck though, too nice. No Im gonna rig something up like a wire screen to keep him off the center console and out the front of my cab.

Zeta, when we travel I use a harness and tie the leash to the baby seat hold down. Works like a champ.

I wish I could go measure the rear of the truck but the dealership is 4 hours away so that isn't an option right now. The crate is 36" long, 25" wide, and 27" high if that can help someone answer this for me?

I let my dog just roam around the back seat of my Tundra but that is one of the main reasons for getting the new truck, I'm not that comfortable with the dog loose in the vehicle and would much rather put her in the crate.
I just laid these measurements out on my desk with a tape measure. It seems to me that the only questionable dimension would be the 25" (Back to front) I know the truck is wider than 36", and the 27" is roughly from the seat to where someone's nose would be sitting in the seat. But it would seem that a CC would have at least the 25" needed

Thanks and yes that's what I'm wondering about is the width of 25", especially as the higher you go up the more narrow the space gets due to the angle of the front and rear seat.

Krjackso do you know the dimensions of the kennel you were trying to put in the cab?

Come on guys there must be someone that carries a dog crate in their crew cab?????
