Default Power window problem

I have a 2003 ram 1500 quad cab 2wd 5.7 hemi. The right front passenger window quit working with the door switch but still worked
at the driver's control panel. I replaced the switch but it still won't
work at the right front door but continues to work at the driver's
door panel. The fuse is okay and the window lock is off. Any ideas?

It could be that on the plug for the door switch that the pin could have worked its have out a little and its not getting a connection to relay. That's just a guess so don't quote me on that.

Default power window

Thanks. I did check that plug and it seems okay but no go. Certainly
the motor is okay as it works from the drivers side but you are right
that somehow power is not getting from the new switch down to
the motor. It wazs intermittent before it quit completely and that's why I
thought the old switch went bad. It's probably still okay. Baffles me. Ken

Check the wiring. There may be a broken wire somewhere along the line if it was intermittent then it stopped and a new one isn't working either. I would take a good look at the wiring from switch to downline it maybe a connection point at the other end and who knows maybe your old swith still works.

I agree.I have a reputable shop in town and they are going to look at it
tomorrow. I don't know what it looks like inside the door but I would
guess the little wire bundle at the switch has another plug on the other end down at the regulator. It's possible that the plug at either end could be bad (maybe one of the pins). I am going to the internet to see if I can
get more info and maybe a picture of the assemble or at least the wire loom. I will post what I find out. Ken

I think I found the culprit. After doing some research it appears others
have had similar issues with the power window lockout switch. When it
malfunctions it can lockout some or all of the other windows except the
drivers side. After activating the lockout switch several times the passenger side window works normally now. Obviously something is sticking inside that switch. Unfortunately that switch is contained in a one piece master assembly that contains all the switches in the driver
control panel. It costs 156.00 (thanks chrysler) from the dealer but I have seen them on the internet for 102.00 OEM. Right now I am going to leave it as it is working. FYI there is also a power window circuit breaker
on the left side of the lower steering column that is in addition to the fuse in the fuse box. Obviously this wasn't part of my problem as all the
windows were getting power from the driver console but just something
to consider. Thanks to all. Ken

Interesting find and thanks for sharing. So it is the lockout switch causing the issue.

Default Power windows fix

I fixed my power window problem, which was as many have said would only work from the master switch on the driver's door. I took the master switch apart, I had to remove the power window switches in order to separate the base. It is not necessary to remove the directional switch or the left right mirror switch. Once this is separated, the lockout switch can be accessed. I removed the little black cover from the lockout switch exposing the white inner piece. There are four springs in this one switch mechanism. One large coil springs such as on an ink pen. A very small lever spring which makes the switch an on off switch. This Lever Spring can be removed and discarded. Now, look under the brass contact on the white mechanism, which was inside the switch. There are two more small coil springs. I sprung both small coils and the one larger coil to give them more rigidity. I then reassembled the lockout switch. The only time the lockout will work is when depressed. All of my power window switches on all four doors function properly now. I hope this helps someone, sorry I didn't take pictures.
