Default Engine Cleaner

I just bought an 2008 dodge ram 4.7L..it has 65000 miles on it I just put Mobil 1 syn, K&N air filter in it and had the tranny flushed this weekend I am getting the rear end fluid checked...I am looking for a good engine cleaner I am hearing all kinds of things from Lucas fuel to Seafoam...Anyone have a good one to use? And what else can I do to improve the MPG and make the life of the truck last longer? From basic treatment to Spark plugs? any suggestions would be awesome. Thank you.

You don't really "need" to do anything but putting seafoam in the gas tank and running it through vacuum lines won't hurt. I wouldn't waste money on any other products.

The 08 4.7 requires upper bank plugs to be changed at either 30k or 50k miles (50k IIRC). The lower banks at 100k miles.

Engine cleaning just if necessary.
You break more than do good.
Most vehicles getting problems by over maintaining, over repairs and people who think they can improve performance with auozone tuning and $69.99 chips.

I have always been a fan of Lucas oil products. They make a great fuel additive that usually runs 4-6 bucks. I have used it for years and on several vehicles. I throw one in my cars about every oil change. I have broken down 2 engines well into the 200k+ mark that were very clean inside. Not much by way of carbon build up.
Seafoam is a good product as well. I would not recommend using after you change your spark plugs though. That's more of a before plugs idea. It will break deposits loose that can end all over your plugs.
