Today I met with another ram owner who I first encountered a few months ago. I was sitting at a stop light and had heard someone talking next to me, so I rolled down my window and there was someone complimenting my truck in another red ram. I don't really get compliments that often, so it was awesome.
Not too much longer after that, I received a message on a forum I don't typically use and it was from that driver who is a frequent user of their forum. We discussed our trucks off and on and finally met today.
He's got three trucks, a Ram 2500 with a 5.9 gas mated with a 5 speed nv4500. This one was in an accident a few months ago unfortunately, hence why the bumper is off. Great running truck though with well over 300k on the stock motor.
Just bought a 3500 with a 24v cummins diesel, 6 speed, 4x4. Factory chassis cab configuration.
And finally, a '93 twin turbo w-250 12v diesel. The thing is an absolute monster and pulls just as hard if not harder than my truck does currently. Absolute boss. Pushing 50+ PSI and he said he has goals for mid 60s. It was estimated to be approximately 350hp and... 1100 ft-lbs torque...
His plan is to take the powertrain out of the work truck and mate it with the 2500 that's currently gas. Then, take the rear axle out of the work truck, which is the same as the w-250, and swap it in because it has rear disc brakes.
Overall, had a good time. Good to know someone else is just as into their trucks as I am.
