Default 2013 wheel studs different

I traded my 2011 in today for a 13 I wanted to keep my aftermarket rims.So I went to the wheel shop to swap them to find out the 2013 is different that the 11.The 13 studs are larger.

When I traded my 09 for my 13 I did the same thing. The threads are different on the 13. New set of lug nuts and your good to go. I wasn't giving them my dick cepek torque wheels and duratrac tires that had only 5k on them. They put mine on the 13 and the clads on my 09. Also they had to give me new tpms also the 09 and 13 are not compatible.

I have not read that the STUD size is different, i believe it is still 9/16th inch
i know that they did not go back to being 1/2"
5/8" would be so much overkill, for a 1/2 ton truck, i doubt that they did that either

the only recent change that i have read about, is that when ZF started making the newer differentials,
they went from a S.A.E thread, to a Metric thread on the studs

I installed my 20" oem clad wheels from my 10' on to the 13'. I had to use the 13' oem lugs because the 10' oem lugs would screw in a couple of turns then would start to tighten up as if they were cross threading. The 10' oem tpms read error on left rear, so I thought I had one going bad. After a day, it cleared up and everything reads accurate on the evic display verified with my tire gauges.

I had just went back a few days later when the light never shut off and the dealer gave me a brand new set of tpms and discount tire put them in for free. Took about 8 calls to find a store that had the style lugs in the new threads in stock since my trucks was already on lifts. Dodge brought a set of stock ones to the shop doing the swap and then the shop found one store that had the ones for my dick cepeks. I just don't know why no one though about the tpms sensors being different. It was a NTB next door that swapped the wheels over. It was all on the dealers dime so I didn't complain.

The studs are METRIC. Not 1/2" or 9/16" or 5/8" They are 14MM x 1.50MM
