how do i wire the leds and the ring to a switch.

Honestly? Your best bet would be to get some quick splices and splice them into your parking lights.

That is what I did with my set of 2001 headlight like the set you have.

Connect the white and the red to the power on your turn signal wire. Then the black wire to the ground. Do that for both sides and the LED's will come on when you turn on your parking lights.

Don't wire them into the turn signal wire. Wire them into the running light wire. Your actual turn signal harness has three wires that connect to the plug that has the bulb connected to it. One wire is for the turn signal, another is the ground, and the last one is for the running light. That is the one you want.

Best way to figure which wire does what is to take a multimeter and probe the socket with your running lights on.

Yes, you may splice the red and white wires on to the same running light wire, same with the black wires. There are several ways to splice, however, the easiest is by using quick connects, which I took pic of below. You can find them at any auto store. Any questions, let us know.
