Default 2009 Dodge ram LED tailgate bar not working properly

I have a 2009 ram and the led tailgate bar came from ebay. I bought one for my older ram and it worked fine. Now this one for my 09 only works with the headlights off, with my headlights on the only thing the light bar does is turn on the runnning lights, no brakes or turn signals. Is there anything you guys can think of as to why this is?
Thanks,
Richard.

Have you tried it independent of the truck to see if each part of the light bar works, basic ground and + wire to each pin on the connector. How are you installed? on a "T" connector to the Trailer harness or direct?

I have attempted both. All of the functions work and receive power when the headlights are off, when on the only one getting power is the running light.

To me it sounds like there is some sort of polarity mix up, but without trying to trace it its hard to tell, If your using the trailer plug to power up the unit, I would plug the basic stop lights only and try it, then add the turn signals and then the parking lights, see which one is causing the issue and then take it from there, its either defect of there is something screwy with the wiring.

Ok, I'll give that a try and hope that gets it to work. Thanks for the tip Asur!

Well I tried to use each wire one by one and they all work headlights off, then one by one with headlights on and only the running lights work. I just ordered the LED Glow tailgate bar, we'll see if that one works over the generic one I had
