jeez that tire is wide as hell. No wonder you have rubbing and stickin out far.

I don't know what you have to do on the older rams to fit those big tires and still have them tucked up. I have all the info in the world on fitting common sizes on 3rd and 4th gen rams. But not sure about your truck :/

good luck buddy. post some pictures!!

i'm gonna have the mods move this thread to the appropriate wheels/tire section

Go with a 17x9 wheel of your choice (8x6.5 bolt patern) with about 4" backspace and get a 35 x 12.50 17 tire. It will give the same hight tire but pull everything back under. Not to mention the 17 is a much more common (and usually cheaper) size than the 16.5.

If he is running a 14.50" wide tire on a 12" wide wheel I am not sure thats possible. It may be, but I would littereally have to get underneath his rig and start taking measurments. Either way I doubt there is any way to pull that tire farther under the fender without increasing the amount of rub.

I agree, and I think he can do it actually pretty inexpensively. I have seen some nice wheel and tire combos going for sub $2k recently.

Oh definitely. Stick with a 17" wheel (or maybe smaller cuz he's a 2nd gen) and some decent tires.

I got my set up shipped for $1700. definitely possible!
