It seems very odd. How do they not have the parts? Isn't it just thread lock? lol.

I'd love to have them "fix" mine, but I have 75,000 miles and no issues so honestly I'm not that concerned about it. I've driven across the country in this truck several times, hauling and towing, and no issues. It would suck to have the failure, but I don't think it's going to fail on me at this point.

I went in to my dealer today for an oil change and had them check the pinion nut too. The service manager told me that if the nut is loosening up that it would leak a little oil. So for those that are a little worried like I was, next oil change get them to check it out. BTW they did it free of charge for me.

I have the recall notice on my fridge, no parts yet. Dealer said as long as I have that paper with my VIN, if it fails before the parts come in, the failure WILL be fixed for free regardless of elapsed time/mileage.

But I also have an EPIC dealership.
