Default Cut and buffed?

dropped the dodge off to get cut and buffed friday. im getting the guy to debadge it before hand so theres not as much of a color difference. my question is how big of a defference does getting a truck cut and buffed make?

It's similar to getting it polished, they use a cutting compund which acts like a high grit sandpaper (2000 grit) to smooth out the clearcoat, then a buffing compund which is similar to a polishing compound. End up with a smoother/deeper finish compared to regular polishing, since it removes deeper swirls and cc scratches.

There will be a bit of difference where the badges covered the pain but it soon goes away after some exposure to sunlight.

The cut and buff will remove the light scratches and imperfections in the clearcoat which caused the paint to look a bit hazy. It will deepen and look glossy after the treatment.

thanks. my paint was starting to look almost white in some places. it was making me not even want to wash my truck because i felt i wasnt accomplishing a whole lot. i aloso heard cutting and buffing makes a bigger difference on darker colors to. i this was true.

Yes, it does make a bigger visual difference in darker paints. As soon as my Dark Cherry Metallic Impala SS started to look faded, I cut and buffed it out and all was good.
