Hello everyone i just bought 07 ram 1500 with the hemi.I got the lifetime oil changes.Anyway was at the dealer getting the oil changed the dealer said to me brace yourself for the 60,000 mi maintace because it will cost about 1k $$. I was shocked!! I have a friend that was a dodge tech he could do the work. But they said the warranty co may not acept that if not done by the dealer is this true$ Damn they want over 300.00 just to change the spark plugs. What do you guys think?

The dealer is blowing smoke up your butt with regards to you or anyone else doing the service. All that is required is the required services are done and if you or an independent mechanic does the services, you document, document document. Keep records of the mileage and date services are done as well as receipts for parts, fluids etc. required for the services.
