Default Cargo Light TIPM trigger wire

Does anyone know what wire triggers the cargo lamp on at the TIPM? I installed Amp-Research Power Steps and liked how it uses the door ajar wire on the TIPM to activate the step motors. I want to install bed lights and use the cargo lamp wire at the TIPM to turn them on. I do not want to add a switch in the bed. Even though they are led's I will still be using a relay. I don''t want to run wires into the cab. I tried to use the link I found on the forum for the TIPM, but I couldn't figure it out. I called Amp-Research to see what wiring diagram they use and they were no help. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

The wiring for the cargo lamp does NOT originate from the TIPM, but rather the Instrument Cluster. Unfortunately, all the wiring for it is in the cab.

If you do venture to wire into the cab, it is on connector C1 terminal 3 (White/Tan)

Why not just tap into the led lights on your amp steps? when they come on (door open) your beds lights come on

Searched the site because looking to do the same on my 2012. HarleyRam, how did it work out running into the cab? Was hoping to go to TIPM like I did for remote tailgate lock, but that's not the case here. Don't want to mount switch in bed or cab, thought cargo lamp would be best, then lights don't get left on by accident. Any other options or ideas?
