Default installed K&N CAI polished pipe

installed the K&N CAI over the weekend. I must say, the install was easy, the airbox I cannot believe pulls right out! never had that before! usually its unbolting 20 bolts in hard reach.

anyhow, the sound that comes out of the engine is amazing. never had quite that much roar in any other engine before. I imagine the metal pipe allows more sound. I don't have the exhaust on it yet either.

Fuel economy in 4 cyl mode: I have to say, driving up grades a little, it seems to extend that 4 cyl mode longer. so a little more torque in the lower RPM my guess for that to happen. so I would say, you might get 1 MPG more. im going to hit the turnpike and go steady 55 and see what it does.

More power in the 3-4 grand RPM, where the sound wakes up. I really like the sound. its amazing what the box and rubber suppress!
