Default Changing tire size after changing rims??

I am looking at doing a 4" lift kit on my truck and some new rims and tires, my question is I plan on doing it in some sequence of one job at a time... Sooo if i buy Rims (fuel pumps 20") and use stock tires for now, is it possible to later switch those tires to say some Nitto terra/trail grapplers (35s) or is the rim size change depending on tire size?? another question about the wheel sensors, do they work with new rims and tires? or do i need to replace or just eleiminate??

THanks for any feedback.

No, you can do that. Tires come in different inner diameters. So you just get a 35x12.5x20 inch tire..and you'll be good to go!

Don't know much about the sensors. If your eliminate them you'll have a light on your dash I'm pretty sure. Hopefully someone else will chime in about that.

I dont see why the sensors wouldnt work on new rims it may just be a pain taking them out of your stock rim. If you purchase new ones all you have to do is have someone reprogram them to your computer which doesn't take long at all.

Yeah, most sensors will swap to most aftermarket wheels. As for tire size, as long as the rims you choose have a width approved for both tire sizes (or at least very close) you will be fine.

This ^^^^ and also offset.
But I am guessing you are doing the +1 option which is fine and can fit a 35" tire.
The sensors are transferable.
The odd time they seize on, but its all dependent on where you live and the climate you have.
