LOL, almost any engine runs better without ethanol mixed in the gas. We have a few stations around here that sell it, its just pricey. One of these days Id like to run a few tanks of it through my truck to see if its worth the extra money.

My rule of thumb has been if reg is > $3.50, I run it. If it's below $3.50, I splurge and get 89. I honestly do not notice a difference. I ran about 1 tank of 89/month in my previous Hemi as well.

we have a non ethanol gas station behind my house. its 20 cents more than ethanol gas. it is totally worth the extra price as far as MPG's go

I have only filled up twice, and each time it has been with the 87.

When I talked to my dealer (despite what the book said) he told me that 87 was all I ever needed to put in.

Then it got me thinking, maybe he only wants me to run 87 so I have to bring int in for service more often? Hmmmmmm, crafty me thinks?!?

I figure that I will put in a tank of 89 after my 5th fill up, and see if I notice any difference at all.

You guys are lucky! In Chi -town all we get is 10% corn and pay 50-60 cents a gallon more than ANYONE in the country. BP 87 is about $4.59 and 89 about $4.79. So if the difference is not huge the price says go 87.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.
