Default temp blend switch

Hi there. Had an issue a while back with a/c staying on hot all the time. Replaced the blend door actuator underneath the plenum on passenger side and now I can switch between hot and cold, but not anywhere in between. Basically, once I reach the mid way point on the dial, it goes all the way hot or all the way cold. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Can you explain more about what you mean by "replaced blend door actuator"? If its the typical symptoms, the actuator does not need replacing, only the plastic bushing/hinge.

Sorry just want to get a better idea before suggesting anything else.

it could be that your rheostat (dial) is shot or needs cleaning.

Thanks for replying. The actuator bushing was broken, and the motor was fried as well. I replaced both of them, which allowed me to alternate between hot and cold air. Only now there is no "in-between"- only all the way hot, or all the way cold.
