Default 2005 Electrical Problems!

Whats going on!

So far, Ive noticed that when I use my left turn signal, sometimes it blinks right. In example. The other day it blinked left 3 times, right 2 times, then left 1 time before I finished my turn. Really spooky?!? I think so hehe. Sometimes it flashes both ways when I use the left turn signal.

When im using my headlights, if I don't turn them off before I shut the truck off they stay on. Now only the headlights stay on, everything else shuts off.. This is also kinda freaky, to me atleast :P. This has only happend twice so far.

I have only had the truck 10 days, I haven't exactly used it much.

Has anyone experinced these problems before?

I will update if these problems continue as im sure they will.

Thanks!!

Welcome to the forum. I am not sure if this will help but it is real similar to an issue I had. I also noticed my headlights would stay off if I turned the truck off first and then the lights. I found the 4 prong trailer connector had corroded inside the protective dust cap. It is worth checking it out and if it is bad you just snip it off and then splice in a new 4 prong connector. Let us all know if this helps or if you need further assistance. Best of luck.

You would be correct. It's a safety feature and it's supposed to do that. As far as the turn signal light going back and forth, that sounds like your indicator switch is about ready to call it a day. I'd look in to getting a new one and getting it replaced.

Check Ramtech's post "multifunction switch" above. Sounds a little light your blinker issue.
