Default Cruise speed display issue

Hi Guys,

Just got my 2013 RAM about 2 weeks ago and I love it. The one thing that is bothering me is that the speed display when I put the cruise on always defaults to MPH not KPH. The units in the system are set to metric. I usually keep the screen on "Fuel Economy". When the cruise is on, if I go to the "Speedometer" function it changes right away to KPH and stays that way even if I put it back on the "Fuel Economy" display, until I turn off the cruise, if I put it pack on its back to MPH. Any ideas?

Probably a glitch in the software, maybe your dealer can upload a more current version or they could reload the present. Anyways I would drop in to see the dealer on that. Usually when you tell the system to be either mph or klm it will automatically switch everything over, not some individually.

Mines pretty much doing the exact same thing. The only difference is with mine it only seems to be defaulting to MPH after I shut the truck off. Everything else holds to it's settings except that.

That sounds like a bug to me.

I do think you should register your complaint with the dealer, then they can atleast put the effort into fixing the code and making a new release for everybody with this issue (which seems like its everybody).

I default my screen to the info cluster that has all the temps and pressures.
Then I customize the corners of the display and use the compass, temperature, ride height and average fuel economy.

Scroll to the screen with the digital speedometer, I think you can set the display separately there to mpg or kph, which I think affects the cruise display.

RedWingFan, I tried that, it works but it defaults back to MPH after the truck is restarted. I will talk to the dealer about that when I am back in there. I need to get a paint issue repaired in the next week or 2 (defect from the factory) I will talk to them about it then.
