Your truck looks great, I wanted the standard cab but the wife wanted the extra room for the kids. When the kids are grown I will go back to the standard cab.

I. Have the spring kit too, love the look and don't have any problems. But don't think for a moment that it is going to ride like stock. It is smooth on completely flat ground but you'll feel small bumps and ripples more. it's stiffer-- better handling, but not as smooth as stock

This is really what I expected and am afraid of with this kit not having lowered shocks included. Has anyone added lowered shocks to help with this? I would think that it would help a great deal especially in the rear. Losing 4" of travel from a stock shock has to be bad and there cannot be much travel left....

The firmer ride is due more to the increased spring rate than the shocks. But you are correct that there is very little travel left in the oe shock, and they will wear out a lot sooner. You could buy lowered shocks seperately, but you're gonna add $200+ dollars to the project.

Default 2-4 kit

I installed one of McGaughys kits with spindles and rear springs. I was a little shy of hacking off the stock bump mounts and cutting up the front brake backing plates but thats what it takes. I had some questions that I emailed to the company three weeks ago and still have not heard back.
The comprimised rear shocks do deliver a harsher ride.

best

I got the Bell tech spring kit. It comes with springs, shocks, relocator bracket, new bump stops, and shorter end links. It does rides a little rougher like any other kit, but the stance and handling is well worth it. My lower profile 22" tires might make it slightly rougher also. I was able too get everything back to spec too.

Good luck on getting lowered!!
