Talking Help me I have a question??????

i want to lift the rear of my truck with the liftin blocks, i am goin to go with 2 inch block kit. My question is do i have to get longer rear shocks if i install these 2 inch blocks? thanks to anyone that can give me info to help with this question of mine.......

i wouldnt think you would need them with just 2", but it certainly wouldnt hurt to get them.

thanks for the info, still lookin into the different block kits , leaf springs, leaf helper springs, and shackle kits........ just lookin for the easiest way to get a 1.5 inch lift or 2 inch lift, its got to be done in a weekend or less with no mess ups, this is my daily driver.......

You won't need to do them initially. The stockers should work just fine with that small of a lift.

Eventually, since they are running a couple of inches extended, they may wear out a bit faster than at stock height.

i got front aftermarket shocks skyjacker, i want to do the back shocks too but i cant do it all at one time i got to save then buy the lift i chose, then if shocks are needed i wll save an buy. but i need to know if i use the lift with blocks, do i need longer shocks or can i ride the stock shocks till i can order the new matchin pair of shocks for the rear?

any help is good, not known sucks............... thanks for the info

You should be fine running around for awhile on the factory shocks but remember the manufacturer puts on just long enough shocks for the factory suspension to cycle through its projected range. If you lift the truck the shocks will be extended to the amount that you lift. Say 2" so the shock is 2" higher than its correct working height. Maddog is exactly right on his comment. I say lift it now or later doesn't really matter on the shocks. If you like the way it rides i would go with a lift block since it shouldn't ride any rougher. If you use an add-a-leaf it will be a stiffer ride. Plus in my opinion lift blocks are much easier to put in especially if you have an impact. Let us know what you come up with.
