If anything my truck has gained MPG since adding it.
No word of a lie.
My setup right now (lift, wheels, etc)
I am now officially getting exactly what I got when stock. 15-17 mpg
I'd say I got 1-1.25 MPG additional.
Mostly benefiting on the freeway

I have this on a 2013. I am very pleased with it and glad I went this route. I will let the other guys get in the technical weeds. It looks good, it sounds good and I am sure somehow someway I am getting a benefit of having it which really is the point of doing any modification right? Does it make financial sense, that is up to you and how you look at things.

I installed mine this weekend on a 2013 4x4. I can say that it definitely pulls harder on the top end now. Mine is combined with a 87mm throttle body that I installed earlier. I noticed an improvement with that as well, but I believe the combination really works well together. From 45-100 mph it just gets it! Follow all the helpful install info others have posted here and you will be happy with your purchase.

Great to see more positive feedback

As Bighouseonstilts pointed out, the Vararam shines in the higher range and especially on WOT.
Plus the noise you get from other CAI's is another beneficial to some such as myself.
Its welcoming to me. Came from a K&N and the resonance irritated my wife as it was on her side (passenger) LOL

I have to agree with fast n ugly on the 1-1.5 mpg increase. I never "felt" an increase in performance but my buddie swears my trucks pulls harder now with the vararam

I do love the throaty sound when you get on it now

On the fence. I was set on the Vararam. Then read about fitament issues on 2013 4x4s and held off until there was a fix. Now considering just doing a drop in K&N and a better tube. The stock intake box seems decent... Might still do the ported tb though.

My MPG, in conjunction with my tune, definitely went up 1-1.5 mpg. My big ol pig of a crew cab certainly pulls harder. I could tell the difference in exhaust note the first time i started it after the install

Vararam Industries is also a supporting vendor here with their own sub forum if you want to get input there.
