Mine looked good for the first summer, (2010 Hemi Sport QC 4x4 w20inch clads) but after 3 yrs, they are all chipping & pealing away and corroding very badly. Everytime i wash them now, more chrome peals off. Did i know they were plastic clad`s, yes, did i know they wouldnt last a year, no. Would i purchase another vehicle with clads, no, absolutely not.

Not that I have attempted this type of lift and is probably a standard procedure in off road activities, it would be safe to assume they have a high tendency to crack with the amount of pressure that would be applied.

As far as knowing my vehicle had chrome clad wheels...I was a bit shocked at first, but then I started thinking of the new wheels I would be able to buy later once these showed signs of wear!

I have to say I was shocked the first time I washed them. LOL. I had no idea but I kind of like the idea of not having to maintain them like a true custom wheel. I have little kids and no time. I would have to take them to the detailer and get it done. I still may have to, the chrome Fuel Throttle wheels are so sweet.

Chrome clads on my 05 with almost 200,000 miles and lots of sand and salt still are mint. The aluminum rims I've owned might last 1 Maine winter.
