We are talking finish, not a direct comparison between a plastic wheel and an aluminum wheel. I'm not sure many realize, that at the surface, the same metals are on the plastic that are on a regular chrome plated wheel.

FYI - the F-series, the best selling truck in the US uses chrome clads for all of their chrome wheels.

Oh ok...well, from a distance the pseudo-chrome-plastic covers look like the real thing. I just noticed my friend's 2009 has them. They are still there mostly in one piece and from a distance gives the appearance of upscale chrome wheels. I'm just weird I guess, for the money I'd NOT expect covers and I don't like "hub caps" at all. I've seen some nice looking wheels on Rams but now will have to "tap" on all of them to make sure I know what I'm looking at.

The chrome clad aluminum sucks. The chrome cladding on my 09' sport separated from the aluminum a little bit and now they constantly click at low speeds and when I turn sharp. My truck sounds like a beater now in parking lots. Apparently this is covered by your original bumper to bumper warranty but not by the extended Chrysler Gold bumper to bumper warranty... go figure. The only way to fix it is to replace the rims... or so says the dealer. When I do it will not be with these chrome clad POS garbage wheels.

Too bad because they do look sharp.

I had chrome clads on my 2006 300C that I traded in a year ago. So it was 6 years old, and they looked perfect to me, the only corroded part was the exposed aluminum edge, lol, figure that. I can see some cladding's having issues, like break dust eating away at the finish, but I can also show you even more aluminum wheels that are all gone to shit, and clear coat bubbling very badly. I think a lot of people with the 2013 sport wheels will come to this realization in a couple years if they live in a northern climate with winters and salt.

Well I like these Chrome Clads, of all the wheels I have owned these ones have held up the best over winters wrath. Three winters and they still look brand new.
