Repair cost = $1500
Warranty company agrees to pay $1000
Customer has to pay $100 deductible plus remaining $500.

He went on and said you are better taking the $2000+ and put it in the bank and let it draw interest until you need it. I have the advantage that this is a good friend of mine and most of our business is done in trade as I own my own embroidery / gift shop. For what it's worth that's my two cents.
Okay so even though my buddy owns three repair shops and everything we do is bartered, I have another mechanic buddy of mine (who manages one of the shops and is a certified Chrysler mechanic) tell me that the warranty was the way to go because of all the technology and electrical components in these trucks. I was tossed because I plan on keeping this truck until it gets rid of me... So I went ahead and purchased the lifetime warranty for $2250. Helps me sleep better at night.

I bought mine, up to 100,000 not dependant on years...$1800, plus I can sell my truck to an individual, for $50 he can transfer warranty in his name. Worth it to me, as I know I wont trade this in...will sell outright to someone.

I know with the dealer that I deal with that they would not give me a hard time however I have heard the opposite from others.... Good luck with your decision and please let us know how you make out,.....
just bought same truck dealer wouldn't go lower than $2,887.00 for five years with oil changes included.did your include oil changes at that price?

Just bought the Chrysler Maximum care lifetime/unlimited warranty with a $100 deductible. $2185 USD. from RIEDMAN MOTORS CO INC

To much to go wrong with all the electronics, Pentastar engine, 8 speed transmission, and 4x4 drive train.

So far I have had no problems at all. Really happy with my truck.

Just got one recall for the output shaft.

This is the first time I purchased a vehicle warranty, going to keep this truck until it dies.
I'm retired will see which dies first, me or the truck.

So I just ordered a Laramie longhorn and they wanted 4500 for a 100000 mile and 899 for oil changes for life then another 799 for a protection package I'm pretty but hurt and am thinking about canceling and ordering from another dealer

That's the same price I'm going to get when I buy it from Harold Ziegler. Did you have Riedman Motors match the online prices? Good call on the extended warranty with all the electronics and drive train. I plan on driving mine till the wheels fall off, too.

I personally don't think most warranties are worth the paper they are printed on. I had one on a 2007 Grand Cherokee and they denied several repairs. Not a vehicle warranty, but when I purchased my home the seller had a home warranty on it, which was also worthless when my furnace needed replaced shortly after closing on the house. The business model of a warranty company is to make a bunch of promises when they sell it to you, and then fight you every step of the way when you try and get something repaired. I'll take my chances after the factory warranty expires.
