Default Wheel Decisions

I've found some reproduction SRT wheels, from a dealer here in Cali. They are $1500 for wheels and tires. I had my heart set on gloss black, then I clicked through the rest of their pictures. They have Gloss black, flat black, and competition grey. What would you guys prefer on a black 04 QC with a 2/4 drop? Its all black, including grill and bumpers. Anyone have any pictures to help me decide?

I'd have to see the wheels and colors. Maybe post up a link. I'd love SRT wheels myself.

I'm thinking that an all black wheel, whether it's gloss or flat, would just disappear on a black truck. Now the competition grey would be a subtle yet noticeable choice. It won't pop like chrome but it's enough of a contrast to make the wheels stand out.

As an example, I have a silver Chrysler 300 SRT8. It had a combination painted/chrome face wheel. Hated the combination. I thought about black but didn't want the wheels to disappear. I wanted some contrast but no bling.

So here's what I did:

It's a powdercoat finish called "Silvervein", a combination silver and black, looks a bit like granite.

I'm not suggesting you do this but I wanted to give you an idea of what grey might do for you.

I say gloss black my self, are you dead set on the srt wheels? The reason i ask is IMO that alot of money for a stock wheel, for alittle more you could run a after market wheel and have your truck be different, but thats just me, i say murder that thing out!

I don't have any pictures of the wheels, but if you go on ebay factory reprodustions has their add there too. I was thinking gloss or flat black with a red pin stripe around the outside to set them off, and maybe some red lug nuts or something. Kind of a sleeper/murdered look. I looked at trhe gray but its just like a plain grey, I can picture how it would look on an all black truck.

Go gunmetal.. It looks like a very dark grey chrome. Black chrome is another option.. it's like chrome with a dark tint. Note: black chrome is lighter than gunmetal. Places that chrome wheels should have these options.
