Default Gauge Cluster Swap Question

Will a cluster from a 2010 2500 with the info screen work in my 2012 Express? Any info would be great. Thank

Express doesnt have all the info like a 2500, it's the basic miles, trip A and B, temp and ECO...at least on mine.

Is 2500 a Hemi or a Cummins? If it's a Cummins I could see there possibly being a few issues. Otherwise it's a direct plug and play swap. Keep in mind you will have to change the steering wheel in order to get the controls and add an overhead console for the compass to work. I'm also not sure about how the odometer works... I've heard some people say they can't be reprogrammed so you would need to know what the difference in mileage is between your current cluster and the new one.

If its a gas they are all pretty much the same. The trucks computer determines what gets sent where to light up which lights.

On my truck equipped with a manual I can still see the P/R/N/D/M, the Tow/Haul and a few other lights that the manuals don't have but are still printed on the cluster. It would cost the manufacture too much to have completely different wiring and gauges for every trim.

The exception obviously being the uber base model 4 gauge cluster, your average joe SLT-Laramie cluster then your high end LongHorn cluster.

The difference between the Longhorn is just the gauge faces though.
