Thanks guys, so it's safe to say the stock 20" wheels on the Ram Hemi's are
33-35 lbs each and the tires (according to Tirerack) are 40-42 lbs each.

Thanks

So 73-77lbs.
Which is pretty accurate.
Don't think I've ever seen a set of them weigh more than 74lbs.
But regardless, it's close.

If the wheels really are about 33-35 lbs each, that's actually not too bad for an OEM wheel of this size.
I was looking at some aftermarket wheels in the same size on Tirerack and with the exception of just a handful, most are 33+ lbs.
I usually look for aftermarket wheels that will save some rotational mass and look sweet at the same time, and that's usually not too hard with OEM wheels usually being quite heavy, but in this case, it may be a challenge if I decided to put aftermarket wheels on the new truck.

You are correct!
Many aftermarket 20" weigh in the neighborhood of 36-45lbs depending on width.
Rockstars for example in 20x10 is 45lbs
Moto Metal 962 in 20x9 is 36lbs
But most if not all mainstream 20" aftermarket wheels do weigh more than our stock
Usually it is the other way around

Yeah and that's a bit of a bummer for me.
One of the joys I get out of getting a new vehicle (which is pretty often for me LOL) is putting aftermarket wheels on it, not only for looks but for function.
It feels good to be able to buy aftermarket wheels that are (usually for me) 5-10 lbs lighter EACH. Reducing rotational mass, which of course, improves acceleration, braking, steering response and improves fuel economy. It's a royal flush win.

But in the Ram's case, it seems it will be hard to drop more than 2 lbs each wheel and that's only if I can find the (probably very few) wheels that are under 33 lbs AND look better than the stock Laramie 20" wheels. May be a tough one.

On top of that, often if the OEM tires aren't the best rated or are quite heavy, I'll order new tires as well, ones that are higher rated AND lower weight. But again, Ram did their homework, I've noticed (I think) only 1 tire on Tirerack that's lighter than the stock truck tires (and only by 1-2 lbs each).
So the joy and individuality of aftermarket wheels/tires for me may not happen on this truck. And I really don't have the need or desire to go with larger wheels, or tires for that matter. Maybe my mind will change if I see the right set up on another Ram truck that makes me drool.
Thanks

If you're going based off weight, them yes, you'll be hard pressed unless you spent $$ on forged wheels.
But the Hemi has plenty of power to move wheels even if they are 5-10lba heavier.

On the subject of our stock wheels again, they are 20 x 9 inch correct?

And who has the bolt pattern and backspacing of our stock wheels handy?

Thanks
