This video covers a new model Dodge, but gives the basic idea. Be real careful when taking out the cover bolts as they can break if you put too much torque when they are rusted up. And leave a couple bolts in 1 corner so the pan comes down crooked to drain right into your catch basin. DO NOT try to take the pan down in 1 shot when full....it never ends well. Good Luck!

That is just the info I needed. Now with a little luck I'll be able to get the job done.
Thanks very much for your help. WOW..... What a great site.

Don't forget to adjust the bands. One is externally adjustable, but the other can only be adjusted AFTER you drop the pan.

Got her nearly done. Put in the 14 pan bolts and ready to tighten them.
QUESTION: How much torque in Ft/lbs ??

If I remember correctly you do not want to over tighten the bolts because they will strip easy.

My rule of thumb is tighten until it is firm then just a small push more.

They aren't mean't to be torqued down hard.. that is why there are 14 of them.
