Today I put some new tires on the old Ram QC. Replaced the Falkens (got about 77,000 miles out of them) with some Bridgestone Duellers. I wanted the Falkens again, but couldn't find them anywhere in the greater Houston area.

Also, recently had the entire truck repainted (factory Patriot Blue) Old gal almost looks new again.

Changed the oil and greased the 98 Ram 5.9 1500 "not on profile", today.

Thought about my new double axle trailer rigging design, to order parts from Harbor Freight (listed'em). Thought about the bid I lost in the Carolina's by $300 measly bucks (causes me to run the diesel on short runs just to keep it active).

Thanks for the info. I've tried talking to Bak, but they are pretty well useless.

They got their money, so they don't need to respond anymore.

I don't care how good a cover they are, but based on their customer service record I would never buy from them again or recommend them to a friend without warning them first.

As I said the cover itself is solid, the hardware is 3 world at best and customer service is no existent!!

Just out of curiosity, what did the painting of the whole truck cost?

I'm thinking about having mine done.

Well, kinda hard to say. A friends wife backed into my truck, caving in both driver's side doors. That repair cost their ins $1,800, and I paid an additional $1,500 to have the rest of the small various door dings, etc repaired and repainted. The bodyshop I go to is the only place I let touch my vehicles (over the past 20 years, they've done several repair jobs on my various vehicles) and they have a lifetime warranty on bodywork and paint.

Installed the Dee Zee tail gate assist and installed the Nuserts for my Dee Zee NXT Black Aluminum Running Boards, then the mosquitos came out! I will finish the boards tomorrow. Bed Rug and F1 hopefully by the end of the week.

Thanks anyway.

I figured it would be around the $2500 - $3000 mark, but thought I would ask someone who just did it.

Post a pic of the new colour when you can, I'd like to see it.

Will do Red. I was going to take some pictures today, but before I could finish cutting grass, started raining. As for what it looks like, easy, just like any other 2003 Patriot Blur Ram QC,

Just got her back from the shop. 6" BDS lift, 1.5" Bilstiens, new lower & upper greaseable control arm/ball joint assemblies, new innner/outer tie rods. Oh and new sway bar links..

Then I put powerstop drilled/slotted rotors with ceramic pads all 4 corners and new park brakes while apart.

Ordered Tires and wheels from Bully`s Performance (excellent service and price!!). 37x13.5x20 toyos on MO961 black wheels. THANK YOU!
