I'm quite shocked at how hot that sucker gets.

We have had off and on rain here over the weekend, and there was some water that got inside the bed, but I also haven't installed the drain tubes yet.

I wanted to see how much water actually got in there, before I worried about them.

Also my rear drain cups don't fit that well onto the rail system, so I see that as being a leaking point anyway.

I am going to send an email to Bak to see what they suggest, and failing that I will have to modify something to make it work better.
I had the same issue on my Fibermax. All I had to do was cut a notch where the bolt that attaches the rail is. I'm not sure if it moved from 2012 to 2013 but the cups are definitely off by about an inch.

Removed some badges today. Removed the "RAM 1500" from the doors. Left the HEMI badges on the fenders though.. Looks great...

Today I put some new tires on the old Ram QC. Replaced the Falkens (got about 77,000 miles out of them) with some Bridgestone Duellers. I wanted the Falkens again, but couldn't find them anywhere in the greater Houston area.

Also, recently had the entire truck repainted (factory Patriot Blue) Old gal almost looks new again.

Thanks for the info. I've tried talking to Bak, but they are pretty well useless.

They got their money, so they don't need to respond anymore.

I don't care how good a cover they are, but based on their customer service record I would never buy from them again or recommend them to a friend without warning them first.

As I said the cover itself is solid, the hardware is 3 world at best and customer service is no existent!!

Just out of curiosity, what did the painting of the whole truck cost?

I'm thinking about having mine done.

Well, kinda hard to say. A friends wife backed into my truck, caving in both driver's side doors. That repair cost their ins $1,800, and I paid an additional $1,500 to have the rest of the small various door dings, etc repaired and repainted. The bodyshop I go to is the only place I let touch my vehicles (over the past 20 years, they've done several repair jobs on my various vehicles) and they have a lifetime warranty on bodywork and paint.

Installed the Dee Zee tail gate assist and installed the Nuserts for my Dee Zee NXT Black Aluminum Running Boards, then the mosquitos came out! I will finish the boards tomorrow. Bed Rug and F1 hopefully by the end of the week.

Thanks anyway.

I figured it would be around the $2500 - $3000 mark, but thought I would ask someone who just did it.

Post a pic of the new colour when you can, I'd like to see it.
