got any pix of what it looks like overall with the big center console out? I'm thinking of trying to get rid of the thing for more legroom/sub room. Not sure if I could still keep the shifter or possibly move it somehow though but be nice to see how much room was in there.

Here is a few pics from different directions of what the interior looks like without the center console.

I'm having trouble removing this as well, do I just pull to pop it off? I don't see any clips unless I'm blind?

Any help?

Along the same lines of this, does anybody know where the orc is located (I believe center console) and if so how to remove and replace. Truck is a 2010 ram crew cab. Thanks.

The lid of the full floor console has to at least slide back to unscrew & remove the center console on the dash

to remove or slide back the top of the floor console
You have to lift out the rubber pads, a couple of them have screws under them
Then set your E Brake
Reach under the T handle of the shifter, the chrome collar has to slide down to allow the handle itself to lift off., i had to use a very small straight slot screw driver to loosen the collar & then i could push it down & the handle lifted right off

At this time you can lift the big rectangular chrome piece that blinds you every now & then
Now look down at the shifter itself, right next to the where the shifter would be in the Drive position, you will notice a very small rectangular tab, lift that Tab up using something like a pocket knife, the whole Tab lifts out.
Then take something about the size of a screwdriver shank & press lightly down on the RED spring loaded release that is down inside that hole & at the same time, pull the shifter to the Neutral position, you could have also started the vehicle & moved the lever, but the first way is the correct way.

This part you can do at anytime, remove the plastic panel that is down by the gas pedal, right close to where your ankle would be while you are driving, it just snaps in, no screws, then remove the same thing from the passenger side.

Now open the lower lid to the arm rest
Then grab the 2 back corners of the console lid & give a jerk up on them
You can now remove the whole upper part of the console.
There will be 2 wires to look for, 1 is a small light that illuminates the shift cover
The other connects to the cigarette lighter receptacle

That lid sort of looks like this

===============================================

For the dash console
you will find 2 screws under the rubber pad at the very top of that console
Then you will find 1 more if you have a 115vac outlet, you have to remove the outer cover of the outlet to get to it, you will see a small slot just below the outlet, use a slotted screw driver or something like it & it will pop off,
There should not be any thing else holding the dash console in place besides plastic clips
I used a plastic trim tool to work my way around the cover working the clips loose
