thanks for the update, my situation is exactly like yours with the binding against the lines on the passenger side which causes the everything to be out of whack.. mine also has alot of pressre on the hood when i close it, i just assumed that meant it was sealing good, maybe i should look a little closer

I also cut the passenger side due to binding, similar to whats shown in the original post.

Wing mounted to the front side of the base.
Overall better, because the lid is not cranked down like it was to keep the filter in place...
Still will not seal to the hood, and there is a lot of positive pressure againist the hood

So Vararam any thoughts??????????????????
What to do do next...

I was real excited about these until i bought one. Between all the fitament issues and absolutely zero performane gains i wish i hadnt even spent the money. Mine was just like many others, had to trim to fit around ac lines, filter popping out, and not sealing to the hood correctly.

RedlightMike;
Yes me too...
It is hard to believe that most everybody's Gen4 works and seals as advertised...
I don't get it....
So far no response from Vararam on here this time...
Emailed Steve and Patrick from Vararam and no response from them as of yet....
Silence means what???????????????
I'm starting to think they cannot make it work as well...

Still holding on to the dream,
Bill
