Default This sucks

First dent in my new truck. Made it to 10k miles without a scratch. The fn floor jack hit it when I was lowering the truck. I had a 4x4 piece of wood on the jack that split and caused the jack to lift up and hit the rocker panel. I wonder what it will cost to fix this? I guess I can fix this the same time I get the holes fixed on the front bumper the dealer did mounting the license plate.

I don't know how much it might cost

BUT, i learned a long time ago
when using a floor jack, put a tube of water pipe insulation over the handle
mostly to knock down that irritating banging noise when you are jacking a vehicle up

Look for a "paintless dent repair" guy in your area. Not sure if they can do anything because that looks like a pretty awkward spot for them to work but they can do miracles at a fraction of the price a body shop would charge.

Looks like $400-600 worth at a body shop. Sorry about your truck man.

Default Inevitable unfortunately

There is no way around a dent, door ding, scrape, rocks etc. Can you post a "smaller" photo of it?

Brians RT - Brother I feel your pain...

My garage is 232 inches deep, and the Laramie Longhorn SB is 229 inches long (glad I did not opt for the long bed). While trying to shoe horn the truck into the garage I managed to let the right front fender flare to come in contact with something that gouged it pretty good. Rather than file a claim with my insurance company, I went down to the local dodge parts dept and was told that a new fender flare was $175 and came already painted in that white gold metallic trim paint (it doesn't).

So here I am with a fender flare that needs painting and no one in that damn parts department can tell me the paint code for the white gold metallic paint. Finally some genius said use the paint code from 2012 Ram 1500 manual. Well after that go round, I asked the service manger where they got their paint jobs done and he says down the road at the GMC dealer any way to make a long story short the flare got painted for $125 (looks great) and its on the truck this weekend.

So this learning experience cost the $300 and while the truck fits in the garage, I have to be real careful because with the limited clearance if i go too deep i will wind up doing some major home renovation.
