Default Rear diff swap

I have a 2003 dodge ram 1500 4x4, I need a whole new axle housing so I went to a junk yard and bought a whole assembled differential everything is all good it will mount into the truck. Two problems tho. One is that the only difference in the two axles is the caliper brackets. I need to know if this is a big deal or not, secondly if this difference in caliper brackets is okay I still need to know what year truck this axle came off so I can get pads and rotors. The serial number on the differntial is 53069431ab. How y'all can help thanks!

call a dodge dealer or a good diff shop. they can give you the exact info you need. and make sure the gear ratios are the same as the diff you pulled out of your truck. you don't want to run two different gear ratios. when you use 4x4 you will do alot of damage.

Dodge was no help lol. I gave them the number on the diff they couldn't find anything on which truck it was out of. (I'm assuming an 04) and when I asked about the gearing they told me it wouldn't matter because the total combined gear ratio on a 3.55 ring gear and a3.92 ring gear were the same... Guess I better start calling some diff specalists!
