Your tq converter is not good enuff for a stock motor, how is it good enuff for a 500 HP motor.LOL.

I hope your not trying to tell me Chris at Cirle-D told you to keep the stock converter.
Anyway I argued enuff with MIke when he had a RT converter in his truck.
So good luck with your new setup.

You must be one of those guys that's always right. Well, sorry my friend, but Chris did indeed say that for my application, the R/T TC is just fine. Would you like me to quote our email conversation here for you?

And where exactly is all of these blown R/T torque converters on stock vehicles?

Have to agree with that question.. the stock converter isn't good enough for a stock motor? That's strange... as said above and I agree, it seems to be the clutch packs that give out not the converter.

Fair enough, no harm meant here. Just not a fan of stating facts about anything not based on tried and true experience.

Im not sure what they upgraded on the 2011 tq converters.
But the 2010 and lower tq converters had a lot of plastic parts in them.
Thats why the aftermarket companies have stepped in.

I realize everyone is loosing there overdrive clutches etc,but who is to say the stock converter is not part of the problem.???

It just desnt make sense putting in a built tranny capable of handle 500 RWHP and keeping the stock converter.???.

Thios is the same converter that goes back to 1999 I think.?
Im pretty sure the motors back then were not running 500 RWHP.

Anyway just my take on it.
Not trying to be a smart ass.

I have towed several 18,000 lb.GVW loads with my Circle-D triple disc converter,I dont think the stock converter would even come close to handling the weight.

With 70,000 hard towing miles on my 545rfe,the weak link is not my transmission, but I bet it would be if I still was running my stock converter.
Anyway awesome build, best of luck to you.
