Default 2014 CC 8' Bed

I was playing around on the mopar.snaponeasy website and found this listing:
Side Steps, Tubular

Part Number: 82213533
Vehicle Description: 2014 Ram 1500
Stainless Steel, Wheel-to-Wheel Tubular Side Steps for Crew Cab with 8.0` Bed, 5" Oval with two black composite step pads

Does anyone know or heard of what trim levels this will be available on?

Not sure how well the 1500 platform would handle another 20" over the CC/6'4", which only became available late (very late) in the 3013MY (mine, ordered as soon as they did become available, still hasn't shipped). Probably cut even further into already pathetic tow/haul ratings (compared to competing 1/2 tons).

But I do like that configuration. My '04.5 2500 CTD was a CC/8' and of all I have owned, that was my favorite setup. Have had QC/8', CC/8', MC 6'4" and am about to have a CC/6'4".

The "short" 6'4" bed was my least favorite thing about my Megacab CTD. And the single biggest draw to getting a 2500 again instead of downsizing to a 1500 was the availability of a CC/8' configuration.

Seems like it isn't any big deal to most, but cramming all my stuff in a little 6'4" bed can be a real PITA sometimes and downright limiting on occasion. Don't know how the 5'7" guys do it!

didn't they have this configuration in the 1500 a few years ago, but used the 2500 frame and still badged it a 1500?

then i am guessing a 1500 frame wouldn't handle the extra 2 feet and support a long bed.
