Thanks for the info. All I can see added is a bed cover and a little different size tires from stock.

Yup that is what it is looking like. I know they go by the vin number so I guess that is the weight Dodge says. Not that much more money but I hate to pay the state ANY more then I have too.

I found online that the "Gross Vehicle Weight Rating" for a 2003 QC ram is 6650 lbs.

The Curb weight is 4877 lbs.

Not sure which of these they are using but neither is 7000+ lbs.

Go to any major truck stop and get on the CAT scale. You will know of they have one by the large yellow sign, usually located right next to the fuel island. Pull on in, push the little yellow circle button and tell her its your personal vehicle. You will probably have to stand up leaning outside the truck to reach the button. Cost is $10, guaranteed accurate. I do heavy haul so I need accurate weights for permits and a CAT scale is the only one I trust. You will recieve a print out with your weight on it

By the way, gas weighs 6 lbs per gallon so take that in affect. Idk if the GVWR is with a full tank or not.

I wonder if the 4x4 adds that much?

My '05 tipped the scales at just over 5500. There isn't much difference between the '03 and the '05.
