I was able to get (2) 12 gauge wires through the nipple using a little lube to help the wires slide. 1 wire for hot and 1 wire for ground. I wanted this for my CB radio that I installed and I didn't want to use a frame ground. Pretty much filled the hole.
If you have a 7 pin trailer hitch splice into that for both your hot and ground. I have Recon bed lights, ran the wires along the upper rail into the holes in the back and down under the truck. I put a fuse between the hot wire in the hitch and the switch. I put the on off switch in the hole on the lower back of the bed on the driver side. Works great.
