A buddy and I combined shipped a pair of TYC fans from RockAuto out of New York
I think they were around $112 ea, and we split the shipping $30
So it worked out to about $130 ea after shipping/exchange/tax.

Local stealer wanted $280 each for the OEM Fan after I talked them down from $330.

On top of that, I snapped a water pump housing off with one at high rpms. None the less, flex fans and batteries blowing up in your face is worst thing anyone could imagine if you get hit by one. I'm with you, I wouldn't recommend a flex fan to anyone.

So who did you order from?
I'm kind of surprised Rock Auto's shipping prices jumped by so much.

The Biggest PITA for me was breaking the clutch fan nut free,
You Need a BIG wrench and a snipe, a BFH and two sets of hands
...or a custom built spanner wrench. ( I needed all of the above LOL!)

(and make sure you turn it clock-wise) reverse thread = Righty Loosy

Ordered it from Performance Sales and Accessories, just a local shop i get most of my stuff from. Got it for $160, a little more than what i wanted to pay after seeing some of the prices online, but i dont mind since im supporting a local shop and i dont have to wait more than 24 hours to get my part

Thanks for the tips and the link!

^FYI seems some people's clutch fans are extremely tight and some aren't. Mine came off with almost no effort and I didn't use a spanner wrench. May want to see if yours is this way before buying or making a tool. Seems it's hit or miss on how tight they are, I've seen many people comment on both sides.

got it all done.

just to help answer the OPs question - I dont have a tuner and the fan kicks on at 222F and cool really quickly, back down to low 200s in a matter of seconds!

didnt have a big enough wrench so the combo of these pliers and a screw driver got the fan off with ease
