I am not sure if the full size trucks used the same heater controls as the Durango and Dakota twins or not. I would check them out to make sure that the directional control worked correctly. I had this fail on my Durango, and my friends failed on his Dakota. Mine was a 2000, and his was a 2002. This part is no longer able to be replaced with a new one. The magnum engines are pretty solid, and you'll only really have to mess with the typical Chrysler quirks from back then. Dodge still had a pretty bad reputation for their transmissions then, so records of regular service would be recommended.
