BlackRamHemi - Thanks for taking the time to do that. I'll see what kind of extra funds I have this month and maybe I'll purchase a set before the sale ends. If it's ended already then I'll at least know what to buy.

...this just in

install was a breeze with basic hand tools, 100% driveway install, no help required...

Launches like a scalded dog, shifts are firm and solid, pulls like a freakin Freight Train!

Next up, installing the new MGH trans, Alcohol Injection System
...and get my Wide Band, Fuel Pressure and Boost Gauges wired in.

For now the stock trans feels pretty solid,
must be the Sonnax line pressure booster, absolutely no need to "lift to shift".

BTW, the Ripp tune will still allow full spark and fuel adjustments,
and shift points and rev limiters can still be adjusted on my Trinity ...nothing locked down.

I didn't want to max out my shift points until I get my gauges wired though,
If it runs too lean on the top end and boost goes too high I want advanced warning.

a few more...

looks killer. i'm guessing the BT catch can cant retain its original position lower down with the ripp kit? i wanna feel the power of one of these things in person...and why the choice of alcohol injection rather than water/meth or nitrous?

It is a Water/Meth kit from http://www.alcoholinjectionsystems.com/

Methanol = Alcohol
and you run it on -20 winter windshield washer fluid
that is a perfect water-methanol pre-mix available anywhere.
and will boost regular pump gas up to 116 octane

You can even tap into your stock washer fluid tank, that way you get a low warning light.
It gets set to spray only when boost registers over 4psi, so doesn't use much.

I upgraded to a dual nozzle kit , just for a more even spay pattern.

No supercharger or turbocharger system is complete without a water methanol injection system. Whether your running an intercooled system or not, the benefits gained from alcohol injection are so profound, you simply can't afford to run without one once you understand and realize the benefits of it.
Benefits of Water Methanol Injection:
  • Lower air temperatures by 50-200+ degrees
  • Reduces cylinder temperatures by 200+ degrees
  • Increase your 87-93 pump gas by 15-20+ points
  • Increase horsepower safely by 10-15%
  • Allows you to safely run more boost and timing
  • Cools and protects the tops of your pistons
  • Longer more stable combustion expansion and progression
  • Removes carbon build up from combustion chambers, pistons and valves
  • Reduces & helps eliminate damaging engine detonation & pre-ignition
  • No need for expensive racing fuel or additives
You wouldn't drive your car with out car insurance. Now there's insurance for your motor. Protect your motor and the investment you have in your motor with one of our water alcohol/methanol injections systems. Below is our complete line of trunk mount systems. Our conventional under the hood fender/firewall mount kits are perfect for those who can't run our rear trunk mount systems. Below is our complete line of fender/firewall mount kits.

thats very interesting - do these benefits only apply to a boosted engine? would it be beneficial for someone to run it without boost?

Interesting. I come from diesel performance so water/meth injection is a popular thing to use. keep up the good work.

For the most part, boosted applications benefit the most.

Whether using a Supercharger or Turbo you're spinning up to 50,000 RPM
and the unfortunate by-product of that much compression is high heat generation.

Most systems incorporate some type of intercooler or heat exchanger, but not all do.
...and even then the air charge is still quite warm risking detonation under boost.

Cooling the charge with water/meth brings the temps down to where a normally aspirated engines combustion would be.
So to me it's more of an insurance policy to preserve the pistons from burning than a performance enhancer.

Running water/meth is not likely to help an NA 4G Ram much,
there is only so much space in the cylinder for air/fuel and when not under forced induction adding water vapor to the mix likely wont help much.

Do you have side curtain airbags also? I bought a 3 Gauge pillar pod but went to pull my stock pillar down and saw I had them... I right then pushed my stock pillar back up and re installed bolts
