Default Results with mods...

This November we will have had our ram 1500 for a year. I installed a k&n cold air intake kit, a bully dog gt hemi tuner (93 octane program), and swapped the factory muffler for a 24" mufflex.
The whole point in doing this was to increase fuel economy, as well as power for towing our pontoon boat.

Mission accomplished. After a few months with these mods, it ends up they gave a 3.5 mpg gain over stock.

I attached a picture of the bully dog tuner which shows my grade for driving efficiency. Also I have attached a picture rhat shows the fuel economy readout in the. gauge cluster. I am averaging 17.1 mpg with mixed city and highway driving, and haven't even used a quarter if a tank with over a hundred miles of driving.

I'm pretty happy with the results. Just thought I would share in case others were on the fence about doing these mods for fuel economy. It goes with out saying that there is a definite increase in power!

That is about the same for me stock. I was thinking of putting a different muffler on also and getting a BD I am interested to see what I could get if you increased 3.5 MPG with those same things.

I am in agreement with the other 2 posts. I was getting 16/17 mpg stock. My mods include 18" Magnaflow, BD tuner, 87mm Moe's TB, K&N CAI, 180 T-stat. My mileage has stayed the same, it feels more powerful, but I still cannot spin the tires from a stand still. I have an Edge 2800 stall TC to install and I will be sending my VB to Sharadon for mods.

Ditto. I mostly drive short distances, which usually yields 13-14 averages. But when I have the rare 60 mile round trip, my EVIC reads close to 19 (+/-) a point or two.

I have a CC 4X4 - When Stock - you'd be amazed to see 15mpg avg, mostly highway. In most cases it was in the 14's.

After all the mods, AVG in the 16's. If I do a ton of city driving with a heavy foot I'm back into the 15's.

17-17+ is awesome.
