Default Ram R/T 4X4??

like the title says does the R/T come in 4x4? i thought they were only 2wd, but i seen a r/t 4x4 for sale an he said they are very rare

He's blowing smoke up your ass.

R/Ts are only 2wd. He just put the badges on.

You could technically make a 4wd R/T, the only differences are the 4.10 gears and a slightly higher stall tc.

That's what I did,

...more like a 4WD R/T on steroids
inspired by MGH's lowered twin turbo build on his 09' 4x4

Started with a RCSB Sport 4x4,
Ground Force 2/3 drop with progressive rate coils all around for better handling, mount some Big 305/50R20 rubber
Put an even higher stall than the stock R/T 2600 for $500 from Edge Racing Converters
(My Street Edge 2800 actually stalls at 3000rpm)
and I full throttle launch it in AWD and never need to worry about traction.

I can still run it in 2WD, and the only thing missing is the grill badge
...which ironically is the only thing most fake R/T's add for $30 (ebay)

I actually race mine at the track on 28" Drag Radials on all four corners
much faster than any R/T I've ever lined up with. (4.30:1 effective gear ratio)

some before an after shots of mine....

did u run em with that stang? if so howd the ram do? also I like those tires what are they? (not the ones u use for drag)

haha thanks guys i was pretty sure they didnt make them in 4x4 then i got wondering b/c did the rumble bees some in 2wd and also 4x4, an by the way BlackRamHemi your truck looks sick! love the murdered out look, hoping to buy a mate here for my srt10

That's a pretty good deal if its a loaded 09',
My 2010 Sport was $36k new full loaded

Too bad it wasn't a 10' that got the upgraded transfer case with 4-auto option (AWD) from the Laramie's.

Yes that is the plan, so it would be better off going with 2010 or newer? Dont think ill go with the r/t just b/c they are 2wd, what are the reg cab sports like on fuel, my buddy has a 2011 crew cab says hes getting around 750km per tank

If you're going lift and big tires, AWD isnt that big a deal,
just use 4Hi Lock for Winter or OffRoad and you're good to go Bud.

I use AWD (4-auto) for racing
so its only in 4wd for launch then releases to 2wd for the rest of the run


a Reg Cab 4x4 is going to suck on fuel with lift and 35's though
You will need a re-gear to help with that,(4.56's)

I cant really comment on fuel economy, I don't do any highway miles
and bag the shyte out of it in the city on 94 octane
I barely get 400km per tank lol, avg 12mpg city if I'm lucky

Here's an old pic of my dropped 4x4 RCSB on 32's
next to a dealers lifted 4x4 RCSB on 35's to give you an idea...
