as a trucker i smoke when i drive. if you want the smell gone bring your pickup to a big truck detailer and have them clean and "sanitize" the interior. they will get the smell out. every truck detailer i have used never has a problem getting the smell out. they have cleaners the stealership won't have. they will steam clean every surface and sanitize everything. due to the odors in some trucks from guys having poor hygiene and some just being slobs who don't care. smoke is one of the easier smells to get out of a vehicle's interior. any good semi truck interior detailer will get the smell out in an hour or two and it might cost you 100-200 bux but your truck will be as clean as when it was new.

I've used fabreeze dryer sheets layered on both sides of the cabin filter on some of my vehicles after a thorough cleaning.

It's important to pay attention to everything above the dash, pillar covers, headliner, sun visors, etc...

I had this done to my truck when I bought it. I went to an auto detailer and had them detail the inside of my truck. They ran an ionizer through the inside for a day and when I got the truck back I couldn't smell a thing. It's been 2 years since and the smell hasn't some back. Cost me about $200 to get done and they got rid of the smell and the interior was completely clean too!

you have a couple of choices here...

first, an ozone generator...expensive and can cause some damage...

second, look for a product called auto vaccine or another on called bio cides...

both of these wil work great and will eliminate the odour..but as advised above, you will also have to thoroughly clean the truck, and may inclide shampoo/steam prior to the auto vaccine/bicodes treatment.
