Angry XRF ball joints bad already?!

I replaced the ball joints on my 06 2500 with XRF ball joints about a year ago. I chose them because of all the positive reviews I read just about everywhere on the interwebs. I noticed that over the past few months my steering has started to get sloppy again so I raised the front end to check things out. When I push on both wheels at 12 o'clock there is definitely movement; probably about 1/16 - 1/8" of play, maybe more. Did I just happen to get a bad set? The next question is, what do I replace them with? Have the XRF ball joints been improved over the last year? I really don't want to do this every year. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!
