Yes, cutting the shroud with a nice sharp utility knife with many lite cuts works well and gives it an extra factory look.

This technique will ready you for the Cabin-Air mod... if you haven't done that already.

Good idea, I'll give that a shot. Despite multiple voicemails to the number Vararam provided earlier in this thread and a couple e-mails I haven't gotten a response from them. Pretty disappointing after they were so quick to respond earlier.

I have a 2010 and just ordered this CAI. I am wondering if I can leave the front flap off in the summer when I pull the trailer? I am concerned about a lack of air flow to the rad with the flap on? I know I have to keep the factory thermostat as I tried a 180 and it threw codes! I was going to try a 190 - 195 but I am tired of changing them out! I might also see if I can make a quick release for the flap so when it's really cold here ( - 40 ) the damn thing doesn't freeze up at highway speeds! Any thoughts?

I installed mine a few weeks ago and I also put the engine cover back on and what I did was at the short elbow portion where they recommend that you put the PCV, you can just adjust it and it will fit right under the cover. I know you loose the visaul of the chrome by for me that did not matter.
Secondly I have to agree with "Spoiler" Hemi orange does not clash with and colour, I have the deep water blue and Hemi orange and I think it looks great.

If you are talking about the flap that hangs over the radiator then no you should leave it. That is what directs air in to the Vararam. It doesn't obstruct the air going to the radiator as much as it redirects some of it. It hangs down at an angle so air still gets to the small portion of the radiator it hangs over. I know in pictures it looks like it completely blocks that part of the radiator but it doesn't.
