Default Trailer Hitch question

I am going to be towing my 66 chevelle to and from the track eventually. What Hitch do I need. I have a 2012 Ram quad cab hemi. Owner at Hitch store said I would be fine with a hitch rated at 6000lbs and 600 lbs tounge weight. Does this seem right? Car weighs 3400lbs. I am guessing the trailer will be about 2000lbs.

Yes. No doubt. Don't trifle with the exact weights. Get one that you KNOW will be above and beyond what you are hauling, if for nothing else, your own peace of mind.
