Default protect me :)

hello i recently bought a 98 dodge 4x4 and i really wanna use it as a truck but am afraid of the frame rotting out on me. i already have to pull the cab off and install my rot free cab and was thinking of something more durable then just paint alone like a line-x bed liner. has anyone done something like this before and if so what did it cost them? any other thoughts here on protection of scratches dents rust and about everything on the frame.. ive tried many different kind of so called rust paint and frame paint and everyone chipped on when i was putting the vehicle back together.

dude no idea... but if i didnt want a piece of metal to rot i would get rid of all the rust by any means possible, then replace the metal that got destroyed. just my outlook

there are several methods of preserving your Frame
first you could get it sand blasted
then either line-x it or powdercoat it
either method would be long term protection

or you could remove most of the heavy rust & use a product called POR-15

nater, you live in nh, there is nothing you can use that will prevent rust in the salt belt that you won't have to touch up every year. bed liner might be your best bet, but even that will have to be touched up after road debri takes a toll on it.

since your pulling the cab off anyway i would clean the entire frame and reapair any rust damage that already exists and eith POR-15 or bedlining would be a great choice it wont last forever but it will greatly help in the life. I would also coat the entire underside of the bed and cab
