Default Trouble starting when warm

ok so my truck is being stuborn and i cant figure it out. it will start fine in the morning and like if i turn it on right after its been running its fine. it gives me trouble after its not been running for a couple hours. it is hard to start and crank it long before it starts. i replaced the fuel pump and spark plugs and its still screwing around so im stumped now!

Crank Position Sensor? I hate to guess and just throw out ideas, and money if it doesn't fix it. But the CPS is a good starting point.

Yes it would because the computer doesn't know when to fire the injector or when to send the spark.

borrow a good FULL sized Battery from someone

i once had a 1967 mustang 2+2
most times i had no issue with starting, EXCEPT when i drove 50 or more miles
if i had time to let it cool down, there was no issue.
When i drove any real distance, say going to a Dr. Appt. i would come out & i would have to get a jump start.

I bought the correct size battery with as many Cranking AMPs as i could find & never had another starting problem

Does it have any codes? get a reader and find out first before you start throwing parts from guesses.

Yes a malfunctioning CAS could cause this. so will fowled plugs or bad wires. Heck, a bent valve can too.

I checked by bettery and it was still pretty good but its worth a try! as for codes, i pluged the reader in multiple times and there was absolutly nothing and i put new plugs but nothing like wires or other ingnition parts. An air lock or vapor lock was going through my mind as well. How would a guy find that out of fix it?
