Default Lift and Performance...

I have 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Sport looking to put on a 2-2.5” leveling kit to make room for some new 35” tires. I will also be adding a cold-air intake and performance chip to help improve fuel economy (that Hemi can suck some gas, but sure is fun stompin’ on the throttle) At present time rear w/w height is approx. 39-40” / front is approx. 36.5” and I have 33” tires on 20x11” rims. I figure a 2-2.5” lift will leave a little bit of rake for when I’m towing my trailer or have a load in the bed. Here are my questions, recommendations on type/brand of lift (i.e. Bilstein or Daystar): suspension vs. body? Should I go all out and purchase new shocks or just add in the puck-style spacers? With a 2-2.5” lift will that be enough clearance for the new 35” tire I want to put on? Onto the cold-air intake and performance chip, I’m leaning toward the K&N cold-air intake as I already have a K&N oil and air filter and prefer to keep things consistent; however I am unsure with little direction on the performance chip? All suggestions and recommendation are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Welcome to the boards

As for leveling, it will all depend on how much you want to spend. Cheaper option is a spacer block an ideal option is Bilsteins as it levels and swaps, out yor shocks for something better.
Full blown suspension? Not needed.

Level spacer $100
Bilsteins $218

As for intake? There is a wide array of choices. And this will depend on preference as many fall with the same dollar amount.
Many here run vararam, S&B, Airaid, aFe and K&N
If you like the K&N, stick with it. CAIs are more noise than anything. True performance intake is the vararam

Any help or pricing, let me know and I'd be glad to assist.

My rough country 3.75" combo lift kit did the trick well. The Bilstein 5100 shocks seem to be a very good way to go for a 2.8" max front lift also. You will need 1/4" spacers minimum to fit the 35" tires if they are 12.5" wide.

For Programmers, Superchips or Diablo are the most common selection for our trucks.

Bold part is correct

What he said too about the programmer.
Most reliable and chosen tuner for your year is the superchip flashpaq
If you'll be buying a new ram in a few years, I'd recommend the diablo as its moveable to another vehicle

I suggest the bilstein 5100 too.great for a level, plus if you ever decide to get a lift it will level the lift too as they are adjustable
